Query parameters

cikstring

Filter by SEC Central Index Key (CIK). Accepts padded or bare (CIK0000320193, 0000320193 and 320193 are equivalent). The CIK is assigned by the SEC and survives corporate renames, mergers and ticker changes, so it is the stable key for reconciling a securities universe against our coverage.

countriesstring

Filter by Company country ISO Alpha-2 code(s). Comma-separated for multiple values.

date_public_afterstring date

Companies last updated on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD). Granularity is one day, a Europe/Berlin calendar date. NOTE: roughly 790 listed companies have no date_public yet and a range filter cannot return them, so seed the catalogue once before relying on incremental syncs — and partition that first pass (by countries=, say), because a single unfiltered walk stops at the 50,000-row offset cap well short of the ~95,000 companies. ALSO: date_public changes whenever a company is updated, including while you are paging, so following next (an offset) through a window that spans updates can miss companies. For a sync that cannot miss any, walk with date_public_cursor instead. Either way, de-duplicate by id, start each window at least a day before the previous one ended, and re-seed periodically.

date_public_beforestring date

Companies last updated on or before this date (YYYY-MM-DD). Either way, de-duplicate by id, start each window at least a day before the previous one ended, and re-seed periodically.

date_public_cursorstring

Resume an incremental sync after a known company: YYYY-MM-DD,<id>, the date_public and id of the LAST company you received. Returns companies strictly after it in (date_public, id) order, up to and including yesterday: a day is returned once it is complete, so today's changes arrive in tomorrow's walk. Requires ordering=date_public, and do not follow next: request page 1 again with the cursor moved to the last company of each page, until a page comes back empty. Start a walk with the cursor <first date>,0. A company updated during the walk is re-dated to today and so is returned again by a later walk, never skipped. Companies with no date_public are never returned.

industrystring

Filter by ISIC Group code.

industry_groupstring

Filter by ISIC Division code.

isinstring

Filter by Company ISIN. Case-insensitive.

leistring

Filter by Company Legal Entity Identifier (LEI). Case-insensitive.

listing_status'DELISTED' | 'LISTED' | 'SUSPENDED' | 'UNKNOWN'

Filter by exchange-listing state (LISTED, DELISTED, SUSPENDED, UNKNOWN).

  • LISTED - Listed
  • DELISTED - Delisted
  • SUSPENDED - Suspended
  • UNKNOWN - Unknown
oics_classstring

Filter by OICS class code (e.g. TC.SC.SEM.CHP). Matches the company's primary class, not its secondaries. Public preview, OICS v0.3.

oics_entity_typestring

Filter by OICS entity type: OPERATING, HOLDING, FUND, SPAC_SHELL, FINANCING_VEHICLE or PUBLIC_SECTOR. Public preview, OICS v0.3.

oics_groupstring

Filter by OICS industry group code (e.g. TC.SC). Matches the company's primary class. Public preview, OICS v0.3.

oics_industrystring

Filter by OICS industry code (e.g. TC.SC.SEM). Matches the company's primary class. Public preview, OICS v0.3.

oics_sectorstring

Filter by OICS sector code (e.g. TC). Matches the company's primary class. Public preview, OICS v0.3.

on_watchlistboolean

Filter by companies on the user's watchlist. Use 'true' to see only watchlist companies, 'false' to exclude them. Omitting the parameter returns all companies.

orderingstring

Which field to use when ordering the results. Available fields: id, name, date_ipo, year_founded, country_iso__name, date_public, relevance. Prefix with '-' for descending order (e.g., -name).

date_public is the date the company record was last updated, as a Europe/Berlin calendar date. -date_public lists companies with NO date_public (NULL) FIRST, because descending sorts place NULLs first; combine it with date_public_after to exclude them.

When search or ticker is supplied and ordering is omitted, results are relevance-ranked (exact ticker match, then exact name, then name prefix, then fuzzy similarity, with filing volume as the tiebreak). relevance is only orderable alongside a search or ticker term; without one it is ignored.

pageinteger

A page number within the paginated result set.

page_sizeinteger

Number of results to return per page.

searchstring

Search across company name, LEI, ticker symbol, and associated ISIN codes. Case-insensitive, and accent-insensitive on the company name (Hermes matches the accented spelling). Multiple whitespace-separated terms are AND-combined (each term must match at least one of the searched fields). Results are relevance-ranked unless an explicit ordering is supplied.

sectorstring

Filter by ISIC Section code.

sub_industrystring

Filter by ISIC Class code.

tickerstring

Filter by stock Ticker symbol. Case-insensitive and separator-insensitive (BRK.B, BRK-B and BRK B are equivalent). Matches the company's primary ticker and its venue listings, so a secondary share class such as GOOG resolves to its issuer. A ticker held by several companies on different exchanges returns all of them (count above 1). To pin the exchange, append its ISO country code: WDI.DE, 1316.HK. ISO codes, not Yahoo suffixes: .PA, .SG, .L and other Yahoo exchange codes are not read as a market.

view'full' | 'summary'

Controls the level of detail. Omit for a default 'summary' view, or use 'full' to include all details for each company.

Response

Success. The response structure will be the full Company object if view=full is used.

countinteger required

Total matching results. Exact for cheap queries, an estimate on broad or expensive ones. Do not use it to decide when to stop: follow next until it is null.

nextstring uri nullable
previousstring uri nullable
