Searches for tweets matching a query. Returns a paginated list of matching tweets. Use the cursor field from the response to retrieve subsequent pages.

Query behavior:

  • The query is run as written and supports X search operators, e.g. lang:en, from:handle, since:2026-01-01, -filter:retweets.
  • A broad OR term matches any tweet that contains it, so prefer specific phrases.
  • Very long exact phrases rarely match.

A page with no matching tweets is still charged. To narrow results, check each tweet's lang, isRetweet, isReply, createdAt, and engagement counts.
