Public companies ranked by total contract value awarded by one government over a date range, largest total first: US federal awards (USAspending.gov, in US dollars) by default, or Government of Canada contracts (open.canada.ca, in Canadian dollars) with country=CA. latestActionDate echoes that country's coverage as-of so an empty ranking is distinguishable from a coverage gap.

latestActionDatestring date nullable

Most recent action date stored for the awarding country — the coverage as-of. Null when no contract data is loaded (an empty ranking then means no coverage, not no awards).

totalinteger nullable

Total distinct companies with awards in the window (the MCP tool's denominator) — data is truncated whenever it holds fewer rows (additive, #7056).
