Pvgis Solar

Fetch solar irradiance from the PVGIS EU JRC service.

  • monthly_only=true (default): returns monthly GHI totals in kWh/m² — lightweight, suitable as calibration targets for /api/tools/solar-calibrate.
  • monthly_only=false: returns full 8760-row hourly timeseries with GHI, DNI, DHI, temperature and wind speed.

Coverage: 2005–2023, worldwide via PVGIS-ERA5. PVGIS-SARAH3 covers Europe, Africa, and large parts of Asia with higher accuracy.
