Gnss Transients

Detect slow-slip and volcanic transient events from GNSS residuals.

Downloads position time series, removes secular velocity and seasonal signals, then searches for transient deformation events including slow-slip events, volcanic inflation/deflation, and post-seismic relaxation.

Parameters

station : str 4-character GNSS station code (e.g. P649 for Cascadia). days : int Duration of time series (default 730 = 2 years). window_days : int Smoothing window for transient detection (days, default 30). threshold_mm : float Minimum displacement for transient detection (mm, default 5).
