Glm Lightning Density

Flash density for a geographic region from NOAA GLM.

Computes lightning flash density around a lat/lon point within a given radius. Returns regional flash count, density grid, hot-spots, and statistics from GLM satellite observations.

Radius is specified in km and converted to degrees internally (~111 km/degree at equator).

Data source: NOAA GOES GLM L2 LCFA via AWS Open Data (FREE).
