Confidence Multiplier

Apply the AQT+FEW confidence multiplier to a base confidence value at a given site.

NOTE: the underlying coupling failed its circular-shift null, so the multiplier is pinned to 1.0 (see module docstring).

Returns the multiplier dict with fields:

  • base_confidence (input)
  • boosted_confidence (capped at 1.0)
  • multiplier (pinned to 1.0 while the null-fail stands)
  • joint_score (descriptive observable only)
  • applied (bool; True if multiplier > 1.0)
  • reason (human-readable explanation)
