Businesses, Employees and Payroll by Industry
Yearly number of business locations (establishments), paid employees and annual payroll by industry code and area, from official US government statistics: the US, states, metro and micro areas, counties (sectors to 4-digit industry groups) and ZIP codes (sectors), since 2017, with average pay, the business size mix, the change from the year before and the share of the area total. /industry-area-stats/years lists the years loaded for each area level.
The answer is {total, limit, offset, sort, order, years, rows, about}. /industry-area-stats/years answers {levels: [{area_type, year, areas, code_edition}], latest: {area_type: year}}. Area codes match the other area endpoints.
