Endorse a member's skill

Endorses one skill on a target member's profile. Only skills of your 1st-degree connections can be endorsed, using the endorsement_id from their profile's skills section (GET users/{user_id}?linkedin_sections=linkedin_skills).

Path parameters

account_idstring required

The account ID (acc_...) performing the endorsement.

user_idstring required

The LinkedIn member ID (ACo... format) whose skill is being endorsed, a public identifier does not resolve on this endpoint.

Request body

endorsement_idstring required

The endorsement ID for the specific skill to endorse. Obtain it from the endorsement_id field on a skill in the target's skills section, via GET /v1/{account_id}/users/{user_id}?linkedin_sections=linkedin_skills.

Response

The skill was endorsed. A 200 IS the success signal, the v2 endorsement wire carries no additional status field.
