Import a Retell agent

Import a Retell conversation-flow export into a draft. Review diagnostics and test the imported behavior before publishing.

Inspect the export with agents_import_inspect first. Only conversation-flow exports are accepted.

• Set flow to the export’s conversationFlow. Put the remaining export in agent, with version equal to agent_version and agent_name set.
• Set reference to {tenant_id, kind: "agent", id}. Read the current tenant from environments_list; use a new agent ID or the existing draft target.
• Replacing unpublished draft changes requires replace_draft: {draft_id, expected_revision}. Otherwise the import returns 409 with reason draft_has_changes. The live publication is unchanged.
• Set agent.webhook_url to null unless config.webhook pins the same URL.
• Select the LLM from models_list: llm: {provider: "openai", model: {model_id, provider, tier}}. Choose speech settings from voices_list: stt: {provider: "elevenlabs", model: "scribe_v2_realtime"} and tts: {provider: "elevenlabs", model, voiceId}.
• Set config.recording to {required: true, channels: "dual"}. Leave out config.telephony until the trunk and number exist.
• For each model_binding_required diagnostic, map its path in model_bindings to {model: {model_id, provider, tier}}.

Use allow_blocked: true to keep a structurally valid draft with publication blockers, including privacy settings. result.validation reports those blockers and may be absent on an unchanged replay. Inline credentials and malformed sources are still refused. Validate again before publishing; this option does not bypass publication or admission checks.

Retell voices, languages outside en/es and knowledge bases do not carry over. A new import returns 201; importing the same body onto its unedited draft returns 200.
