Create a check lockbox

Create and assign a check lockbox to a bank account or account number. If you specify a bank account, Column assigns the lockbox to the account's default account number. Each account number can have at most one linked lockbox.

Idempotency-Keystring

Idempotency keys can be up to 255 characters long and are case sensitive. Column reserves the right to expire idempotency keys after 30 days. Only ASCII printable characters (code 32 - 126) are allowed for idempotency keys.

account_number_idstring

ID of the account number to link to the lockbox. Either bank_account_id or account_number_id must be specified.

bank_account_idstring

ID of the bank account to link to the lockbox. Either bank_account_id or account_number_id must be specified.

descriptionstring

Optional description of the lockbox. Maximum length: 255 characters.

processing_center'CA' | 'NY' | 'TX'

Processing center to use when creating the lockbox. Defaults to TX.

Processing center assigned to the lockbox.

status'active' | 'closed' | 'pending' required

The current status of the lockbox. Possible values:

  • active: Lockbox is ready to accept checks.
  • closed: Lockbox is deleted, and no more checks will be accepted.
  • pending: Lockbox is still under review, and not ready to accept checks yet.
type'cmra' | 'registered_agent' required

Type of lockbox address.

updated_atstring date-time required

ISO 8601 timestamp when the lockbox was last updated
