IdentityEntity

Create entity evidence

Add evidence to an entity. Supports file, signature, and third-party JSON evidence — if your KYC provider sends you a JSON blob, pass it directly in data with third_party_json as the evidence_type. A single submission can cover several purposes at once: Column creates one evidence record per entry in purposes, all referencing the same underlying document or data.

  • URL: https://api.column.com/entities/{entity_id}/evidence
  • Auth: HTTP basic

Path parameters

entity_idstring required

Headers

Idempotency-Keystring

Idempotency keys can be up to 255 characters long and are case sensitive. Column reserves the right to expire idempotency keys after 30 days. Only ASCII printable characters (code 32 - 126) are allowed for idempotency keys.

Request body

dataobject

Structured data associated with the evidence, as a JSON object. The shape of this object depends on the evidence type.

descriptionstring

A description of the evidence. Maximum 255 characters.

evidence_typestring required

The type of evidence to submit.

omit_data_in_responseboolean

When true, the data field of each evidence object in the response is returned as an empty object. The submitted data is still stored in full. Use this to keep responses small when submitting large payloads for multiple purposes, since each created evidence object otherwise echoes the full data.

purposesstring[] required

The purposes of the evidence submission. Column creates one evidence record per purpose, all referencing the same document/data. Use cardholder_agreement for cardholder agreements collected for card programs.
