Overlays text or a logo image onto a photo or image. Sibling of watermark_pdf, for a standalone image instead of a PDF.

Request body

filestring byte required

The image to watermark, base64-encoded (e.g. PNG, JPEG or WebP).

textstring

The watermark text, up to 200 characters. Provide text OR image, not both.

imagestring byte

Logo image, base64-encoded. Provide text OR image, not both.

position'center' | 'top-left' | 'top-right' | 'bottom-left' | 'bottom-right'

Where the watermark goes: "center" (default), "top-left", "top-right", "bottom-left" or "bottom-right".

opacitynumber

Watermark opacity from 0.05 (almost invisible) to 1 (solid). Default 0.3.

rotationnumber

Rotation of the watermark in degrees (-360 to 360). Default 45 (diagonal); use 0 for no rotation.

font_sizeinteger

Text only. Default: ~6% of the image width.

colorstring

Text only, hex.

scalenumber

Logo only: fraction of the image width.

format'jpeg' | 'png' | 'webp' | 'avif'

Output format (default: same as input).

output'json' | 'binary' | 'url' | 'image'

How to return the image: "json" (base64 in the JSON response), "binary" (the image itself, ready for n8n/Make/Zapier) or "url" (a temporary download link, valid 15 minutes). Default: json when the request is JSON, binary when the input was sent raw.
