YouTube Video Sponsors API
SponsorBlock community segments — free while the CC BY-NC-SA commercial-use exception is pending.
Paste a YouTube video URL. Returns community-sourced skip segments from SponsorBlock (https://sponsor.ajay.app/) — not YouTube official data and not Captapi detection. Envelope always includes source:"sponsorblock", sourceUrl, license:"CC BY-NC-SA 4.0" (attribution required; commercial use needs SponsorBlock's explicit permission), and videoDurationSeconds even when segments is empty. Segments sorted by startSeconds with overlapsWith. coverageSeconds is the union of filtered intervals — overlapping segments are counted once, so coverageSeconds ≤ sum(durationSeconds). minVotes and categories are echoed so a filtered coverageSeconds is distinguishable from an unfiltered one. Default minVotes=0 drops rejected segments (votes < 0). Default categories=sponsor,selfpromo,interaction. 0 credits on every call since 2026-08-09: the SponsorBlock database/API licence is non-commercial, so this endpoint stays free unless SponsorBlock grants a written commercial-use exception.

Query parameters
Public YouTube video URL, e.g. https://youtube.com/watch?v=ID. Not a TikTok/Instagram/Facebook URL. The URL platform must match this endpoint's platform. Do not pass cross-platform URLs, e.g. YouTube to TikTok, Instagram to Facebook, LinkedIn to X/Twitter, or Pinterest to Rumble.
Minimum SponsorBlock votes to keep a segment. Default 0 (drops community-rejected votes < 0).
Comma-separated categories. Default sponsor,selfpromo,interaction. Also intro,outro,preview,music_offtopic,poi_highlight,filler.
Set true to serve from the 24h response cache (0 credits on hit). Default false — always fetch fresh.
