Instagram Post Comments API

Session-paged Instagram comments — a logged-out 2-row preview of a larger thread is 503 SESSION_UNAVAILABLE at 0 credits.

Send a post or Reel URL. A live session pages api/v1/media/{pk}/comments and returns nextCursor with likeCount / publishedAt / replyCount / authorAvatarUrl. Logged-out Polaroid only embeds ~2 preview rows: when totalAvailable is larger that is 503 SESSION_UNAVAILABLE (retryable, 0 credits) — not a billed sample of 0.06% of the thread. hasMore is true when nextCursor is set, or when more exist and cannot be paged (hasMore true, nextCursor null, truncatedReason set — same catalogue rule as tiktok/trending-feed). totalAvailable is the post's comment count (same figure as engagement.comments on /instagram/details). A complete 2-comment thread is still a 200. cached is always keyed. Dead session cookies are dropped from the pool on the request path (the health cron also probes). Hard 110s deadline: timeout is 502 UPSTREAM_UNAVAILABLE at 0 credits. Billing scales with results on a full page (~0.9/comment, 2-credit floor). Pass cache=true to serve from the 24h shared cache (0 credits on hit); default is always fresh.

Query parameters

urlstring required

Instagram post or reel URL, e.g. https://instagram.com/reel/ID/. The URL platform must match this endpoint's platform. Do not pass cross-platform URLs, e.g. YouTube to TikTok, Instagram to Facebook, LinkedIn to X/Twitter, or Pinterest to Rumble.

limitinteger

Max items to return (default 50, max 500). Billed per result.

cursorstring

Pagination cursor from the previous nextCursor ({mediaPk}:{minId}). Omit on the first page. hasMore is true when nextCursor is set, or when more exist and cannot be paged (nextCursor null + truncatedReason).

cacheboolean

Set true to serve from the 24h response cache (0 credits on hit). Default false — always fetch fresh.
