Delivers a ping immediately and reports exactly what your endpoint did — status, body, or the transport error. Signature verification is the part integrators get wrong, usually by signing a re-serialised body, and finding that out from a silently missing event is an awful way to learn it. The ping is queued like any other event, so a failure is retried normally.
