Query parameters
Team bbs_id (UUID).
Canonical league key, brand alias or exact display name. ?league= means the CURRENT league: since 2026-09-18 the filter is bounded to the clubs in that league's latest stored standings season, so it returns the clubs currently in the competition rather than every club whose teams.league_id still points at it. Measured in prod 2026-09-18, ?league=epl went from 775 records across 23 clubs to 673 across 20; the 102 difference are players whose clubs are not in the current season. Send ?season= to reach any earlier season. A league with no stored standings is not narrowed.
The year the season STARTS, the same meaning ?season= carries on every other endpoint. Bounds the directory to the clubs in that season's standings instead of the current one: ?league=epl&season=2025 returns the 2025-26 population (775 records across 23 clubs, measured 2026-09-18). Requires ?league=, because without a league there is no standings table to bound by, so sending it alone is a 400 rather than a parameter that is accepted and ignored. A season we hold no standings for is a 400 naming the seasons we do hold.
