DailyMed

Search DailyMed

Search DailyMed (US National Library of Medicine), the current FDA drug labels (Structured Product Labeling) that manufacturers and repackagers submit, by drug name (brand or generic), labeler, NDC, application number, boxed warning or publication date, or by words in the label text (text, optionally within named sections, e.g. text "serotonin syndrome" in warnings_and_precautions), with labelType to keep prescription, OTC or animal labels. A text search ranks the best matches first and says which section matched. Returns up to 10 labels, each cited by its set id; there are often several labels for one drug (the innovator plus repackagers and generics). A misspelled or unknown brand is retried once by its RxNorm ingredient name (records then say matchedVia "rxnorm"). Call read_dailymed_label for the label text. DailyMed shows what the labeler submitted, which FDA has not necessarily reviewed; it is not an approval record and covers US labels only.
