Search ClinicalTrials.gov
Search the LIVE ClinicalTrials.gov registry (queried now, not an index). Use it to map a trial landscape (who is running what, in which phase, how many), find precedent designs, endpoints, comparators, enrollment sizes and eligibility for an indication or product, or check whether a sponsor has registered or posted results for a study. query, condition, intervention and sponsor are optional; phase, status, studyType, start dates and hasResults narrow the search. Returns up to 10 studies with status, phases, sponsor, enrollment and dates, ranked by relevance when a text criterion is given; without one, or with sort "newest", the most recently updated studies matching the filters come first. Cite each study by its NCT number. Registry entries are submitted by sponsors and are not reviewed by FDA, so treat them as what the sponsor declared, not as regulatory findings. Use read_clinical_trial for the full protocol (arms, outcomes, eligibility, results).

Query parameters
Free text searched across the whole record, e.g. "semaglutide cardiovascular outcomes".
Disease or condition, e.g. "obesity", "non-small cell lung cancer".
Several conditions at once, up to 5: one search per condition, run together, with every other filter applied to each (e.g. tirzepatide in ["heart failure", "sleep apnea", "MASH"]). Use it instead of searching one condition per step.
Drug, device, biologic or procedure name, e.g. "tirzepatide". A drug name is also searched under its research codes and INN (the result says which names); give the one name, not a list of its codes.
Several interventions at once, up to 5: one search per intervention, run together, with every other filter applied to each.
Lead sponsor or collaborator, e.g. "Novo Nordisk".
Keep studies in any of these phases. NA means phase not applicable (e.g. device or behavioural).
Keep studies with any of these overall recruitment statuses.
Keep one study type.
Earliest study start date, YYYY-MM-DD.
Latest study start date, YYYY-MM-DD.
true keeps only studies with results posted on ClinicalTrials.gov; false keeps only those without.
