Samaritan Passover & Calendar (撒瑪利亞逾越節)

THE SAMARITAN PASSOVER — the oldest continuously performed sacrifice in the world: every spring the whole Samaritan people (some 850 souls, Mount Gerizim and Holon) ascends Gerizim, and at twilight of their 14th the lambs are slaughtered exactly as Exodus 12 prescribes — blood on the foreheads, roasting pits on the mountain — a rite kept, by the community's own count, for over 3,600 years. GAZETTE-CLASS THE POYA WAY: the calendar (the cheshbon, computed by the High Priest's house and distributed sixty days before Passover and Sukkot) is the priesthood's, not the public's — so SIX WITNESSED sacrifice dates are served (2016–2020 from the community's own institute; 2025's Friday from the world press, with the begins-at-MIDDAY Sabbath rule visible in the record itself), and 2021–2024/2026 are REFUSED BY NAME pending second witnesses. THE DIVERGENCE LAW is the cross-engine proof: every served year is classified at load against the catalogue's verified Hebrew engine — 2016/2017/2019/2025 sit 1–3 days before the rabbinic 15 Nisan (same moon) while 2018 and 2020 land 29 and 27 days AFTER it — the famous sometimes-a-month-apart split, computed rather than recited. The Joshua-entry era served as structure, its current year number deferred by name. OPENS THE CATALOGUE'S 39TH TRADITION. Pure compute, no LLM.
