Lone Dog’s Winter Count (Full Roster) (獨犬冬記全卷)
LONE DOG’S WINTER COUNT, SERVED WHOLE — the complete seventy-one-winter roster (1800-01 through 1870-71) of the most famous winter count in existence: the Yanktonai Nakota chronicle kept by Lone Dog (Šuŋká Išnála), one pictograph per winter painted in a counter-clockwise SPIRAL from the center of a buffalo hide, each year’s image chosen in council as the winter’s NAME — a continuous annalistic history spanning Jefferson to Grant, kept entirely outside the written word. This completes, BY NAME, the deferral the winter-counts engine recorded when it shipped. THE CONTINUITY LAW asserted: 71 consecutive winters, both endpoints pinned, no gaps. THE ANCHOR CROSS-LOCK: the smallpox winter (1801-02), THE YEAR THE STARS FELL (1833-34, the Leonid storm — the tradition’s master synchronization year) and the eclipse-of-the-sun winter (1869-70, proven astronomically by the winter-counts engine) must agree with that engine’s own anchor table — two engines, one chronicle, asserted at load. Interpretations served VERBATIM as the keepers gave them to Reed and Mallery in 1876–77 (Smithsonian record, public domain), alternatives kept. Lakota becomes two. Pure compute and served record, no LLM.
