Avurudu Nekath (අලුත් අවුරුදු නැකැත්) (僧伽羅新年吉時)
THE AVURUDU NEKATH SEETTUWA — the gazetted auspicious times of the Sinhala & Tamil New Year, the litha all Sri Lanka lives by every April: the ritual bath that closes the old year, the MINUTE the New Year dawns, the punya kalaya of pure observance, the hearth lit at the gazetted moment facing the gazetted direction in the gazetted colour, the first meal, the anointing of oil, the first leaving for work. THE ROUND-130 DEFERRAL CLOSED BY THE STATE ITSELF: 2025 had rival published tables (hearth 04:04 vs 09:45 — a genuine committee dispute), so 2025 was refused rather than served a side; for 2026 the Ministry of Buddhasasana convened the authors of the two major lithas and SEVENTEEN astrologers who agreed a UNIFIED seettuwa — and that is what is served, corroborated across two witnesses with the seven shared rows agreeing TO THE MINUTE (witnesses:2) and single-witness rows (the helawalam, the old-year bath, the urgent-duties nekath, the direction/colour layer) FLAGGED with the witness named. 2025 stays REFUSED BY NAME with the dispute recorded; unpublished years refused — the nekath are set by committees and cannot be computed. Load-time laws: chronology, the punya kalaya straddling the dawn, the 09:32 dawn anchor. Sinhala becomes a two-system tradition. Pure compute, no LLM.
