Fields returned:

  • designation (str) — Object primary designation, e.g. 2024 AB1 or 433 Eros
  • orbit_id (str) — Identifier of the orbit solution used for the prediction
  • close_approach_time (str) — Close-approach date and time in universal time, as published by the source
  • julian_date (float) — Close-approach time as a Julian date, useful for sorting and maths
  • distance_au (float) — Nominal approach distance in astronomical units
  • distance_min_au (float) — Minimum approach distance within the uncertainty range, in astronomical units
  • distance_max_au (float) — Maximum approach distance within the uncertainty range, in astronomical units
  • relative_velocity_km_s (float) — Velocity relative to Earth at approach, kilometres per second
  • absolute_magnitude (float) — Absolute magnitude, a proxy for object size — smaller numbers mean larger objects
