Delete a secret

Deletes a secret by name (secret_id from list). Query scope defaults to user and addresses only the caller's own personal secrets; organization and legacy repo scope address shared secrets and require owner/admin authority. A name not stored in the requested scope returns 404 secret_not_found and deletes nothing. Values are never returned. Shared deletions are forwarded to live sessions.

Query parameters

scope'organization' | 'user' | 'repo'

Which secrets: user (the default) is the caller's own personal secrets, organization the workspace's shared secrets. repo is a deprecated alias of organization.

repostring

Deprecated context field for the repo compatibility scope. The repository no longer changes storage; the secret is workspace-wide.

provider'github'

Deprecated provider context for the repo compatibility scope.
