Search Locations

Search for cities and places by name. When popular=true is passed without q, returns the most-populous cities globally for empty-state UIs. Results cached for 7 days. Public endpoint, no auth required.

Search query (2-100 characters). Omit when popular=true. Capped so an over-long query is a clean 400, never an oversized D1/KV cache key (512-byte limit) that 500s.
