get
/hospitalstays/admission-context
Read-only VCPR guidance and today's existing qualifying visits for admission.
get
/hospitalstays/board
The board. `status` defaults to `Active` — who is in the hospital now. Each entry carries the stay, the patient projection, and the full sheet, so the rail, the care board and the handoff view all render from one round trip.
get
/hospitalstays/{id}
put
/hospitalstays/{id}
Update the stay header — location, attending, acuity, assigned staff, note.
post
/hospitalstays/admit
Admit a patient. Conflicts (409) when the patient already has an active stay.
post
/hospitalstays/{id}/discharge
Discharge the patient. Gated on the originating visit's discharge checklist (409 `DISCHARGE_BLOCKED` with the checklist in the body). Standing orders on the stay are discontinued in the same transaction so nothing keeps generating occurrences for a patient who went home. Returns the discharge summary (ITE-710): the entry plus the unperformed billable occurrences and the estimate id — the caller converts the estimate themselves; nothing here writes a bill.
put
/hospitalstays/{id}/last-seen
Record that the caller has looked at this sheet. The web calls it when the user leaves a stay; an empty body means "now". Idempotent upsert, never moves backwards. Any authenticated user — reading the board is Model A, and the marker is theirs alone.
get
/hospitalstays/{id}/changes
What changed on this sheet since the caller last looked: the order audit events after their marker, newest first, as terse facts. Empty with a null `lastSeenAt` when they have never marked the stay.
get
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders/{orderId}
put
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders/{orderId}
Edit an order. Any schedule field that changes re-materializes future occurrences (ITE-701).
post
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders
Create a treatment order on the stay.
post
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders/{orderId}/hold
Pause an active order. Its future occurrences stop being due until it is resumed.
post
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders/{orderId}/resume
Resume a held order.
post
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders/{orderId}/discontinue
Stop an order early. A state change, never a row removal — a clinical order and its audit trail are never destroyed, and completed occurrences stay as history.
post
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders/{orderId}/occurrences/{occurrenceId}/complete
Complete one occurrence, optionally recording a result value (in the order's `resultUnit`) and a note. Charge capture for billable orders is not done here — see IOccurrenceCompletedHook (ITE-703).
post
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders/{orderId}/occurrences/{occurrenceId}/skip
Skip one occurrence. A reason is required (400 without one).
post
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders/{orderId}/occurrences/{occurrenceId}/delay
Push one occurrence later by `minutes` (positive). Only `dueAt` moves; the occurrence key stays, so the scheduling engine keeps treating it as the same slot.
post
/hospitalstays/{id}/orders/{orderId}/administer
Administer a PRN order now (ITE-735): materializes an ad-hoc occurrence keyed on `administeredAt` (server clock when omitted) and completes it in one step, so it charts, broadcasts and charges exactly like a scheduled dose. Resending the same `administeredAt` replays the existing administration. 409 `NOT_PRN` on any other schedule type.
