# Create Service Territory

`POST /territory`

## Request

Creates a service territory used for scheduling/dispatch and the GET /jobs filter.service_territory filter. Exactly one of territory_radius, territory_coordinates, or territory_zipcodes is expected, matching territory_type.

## Request body

  - `territory` object
    - `territory_name` string, required: Required. Must be unique per company (case-insensitive) — 409 "Territory Name Already Exists" otherwise.
    - `territory_type` 'RADIUS' | 'GEOFENCE' | 'ZIPCODE', required: Required. Determines which of territory_radius / territory_coordinates / territory_zipcodes is required.
    - `territory_description` string
    - `territory_color` string
    - `territory_radius` object: Required when territory_type is RADIUS.
      - `geo_cordinates` number[]: [latitude, longitude]
      - `radius` number
    - `territory_coordinates` array[]: Required when territory_type is GEOFENCE. Array of [latitude, longitude] polygon points.
      - number[]
    - `territory_zipcodes` string[]: Required when territory_type is ZIPCODE.
    - `teams` object[]
      - `team_uid` string
    - `owners` object[]: A user with the Field Executive role cannot be an owner — 400 otherwise. The creator is auto-added as an owner unless the creator is a Field Executive.
