# Create Folder

`POST /mailbox/{mailbox_uid}/folder`

## Request

Create a new custom folder.

## Path parameters

- `mailbox_uid` string, required

## Request body

  - `name` string, required
  - `parent_id` string, nullable: Microsoft and EWS only. The ID of the parent folder.
  - `background_color` string: Google only. Must be a predefined color from /mailbox/colors/google.
  - `text_color` string: Google only. Must be a predefined color from /mailbox/colors/google.
