# Validate CPQ Formula

`POST /invoice_estimate/cpq/formulas/validate`

## Request

Validates an expression's syntax. If evaluate=true, both expression and expression_map are required and the expression is actually evaluated with sample values, then rounded per rounding_mechanism using the company's configured decimal rounding.

## Request body

  - `formula` object, required
    - `expression` string, required
    - `expression_map` object[]
    - `rounding_mechanism` string
  - `evaluate` boolean: Required expression_map when true; actually evaluates the expression with sample values.
