# Start two factor authentication process

`POST /blaize/two-factor-authentication`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://demo-site`
- URL: `https://demo-site/blaize/two-factor-authentication`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `blaize_session`
  - API key in query parameter `jwt`
  - API key in header `x-blaize-jwt`
  - API key in header `x-zephr-jwt`

  - API key in cookie `blaize_jwt`

Starts the two factor authentication process. An email will be sent to the email address provided in the request with a link to complete the process.

  - `method` 'email'

## Response `201`

OK

## Other responses

- `404`: User not found
- `405`: Two factor authentication is not active
