# Delete Document

`DELETE /api/v1/documents/{document_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://zsign.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://zsign.io/api/v1/documents/{document_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delete a document. Only unsent drafts are deletable: the row, its
parts, and every GCS object they own go together (the same delete as
DELETE /api/v1/documents/drafts/{document_id}). A sent or completed
envelope is an audit record and answers 409; missing and not-owned
both 404 identically, same convention as get_document_status.
