# Get WhatsApp message details

`GET /whatsapp/logs/{message_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://cpaas.zoho.com/v1.1`
- URL: `https://cpaas.zoho.com/v1.1/whatsapp/logs/{message_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Returns the complete details of a single WhatsApp message, including the rendered message content and the delivery event timeline. Requires an API token with the WhatsApp scope.

## Response `200`

WhatsApp message details retrieved successfully.

- WhatsAppMessageDetailResponse: Response containing the details of a single WhatsApp message.
  - `data` WhatsAppMessageDetail: A WhatsApp message log entry.
    - `message_id` string, uuid: Unique identifier of the message.
    - `request_id` string: Identifier of the send request.
    - `client_reference` string: Client reference supplied at send time, if any.
    - `template_key` string, uuid: Key of the WhatsApp template used.
    - `agent_id` string: Identifier of the sending agent.
    - `channel_id` string: Identifier of the WhatsApp channel the message was sent through.
    - `channel_name` string: Name of the WhatsApp channel.
    - `waba_id` string: WhatsApp Business Account id of the channel.
    - `from` string: Sender phone number, with country code.
    - `to` string: Recipient phone number, with country code.
    - `status` string: Message status (e.g. `delivered`, `read`, `sent`, `undelivered`, `failed`, `process_failed`).
    - `process_state` string: Processing state of the request.
    - `remote_ip` string: IP address the send request was made from.
    - `is_batch_request` boolean
    - `request_time` string: When the send request was received (ISO 8601).
    - `time_taken` integer: Processing time in milliseconds.
    - `template_name` string: Name of the WhatsApp template used.
    - `content` object: The message content that was sent, with template variables resolved.
      - `body_text` string: Rendered body text.
      - `footer_text` string: Rendered footer text, when the template defines one.
      - `header_type` string: Type of the template's media header (e.g. `IMAGE`), when the template defines one.
      - `attachments` object[]: Media attachments of the message header, when the template defines a media header.
        - `file_key` string, uuid: Identifier of the stored file.
        - `file_name` string: Original file name.
        - `file_type` string: MIME type of the file.
        - `file_size` integer: File size in bytes.
    - `events` object[]: Chronological delivery events (e.g. `processed`, `sent to meta`, `delivered`, `read`). Present once the message has entered delivery; absent for messages that failed processing (status `process_failed`).

    - `error_message` WhatsAppErrorResponse: Error response wrapper. The top-level code identifies the error class: `TM_3201` mandatory field missing (400), `TM_3301` bad syntax (400), `TM_4001` access denied (401), `TM_3601` request denied (403).

          - `target` string: The field the detail refers to, when applicable (e.g. `from`, `to`, `template_key | template_alias`).

## Other responses

- `401`: Access Denied (`TM_4001`) - missing or invalid API token. Please check the authorization details and try again.
- `403`: Request Denied (`TM_3601`) - no message exists with the given message id.
