# Create Guest Invite

`POST /v1/orgs/{org_id}/invites`

Create a guest invite for client access.

# legacy: web moved to sharing.invite_guest@1 on 2026-09-28 (web-caps slice 14). Same code
# (``orgadmin/sharing.py``); stays for API keys until rule 4.

**Auto-upgrade to full membership:** If the invitee email matches an existing
user, creates a full OrgMembership instead of token-based guest access.

For new users: Creates token-based guest invite with claim-scoped access.

Any accepted org member (owner/admin/member) can share; guests cannot.
External-share governance (enable switch + domain allowlist) still applies.
Demo organizations cannot create invites (read-only).
