# Get LinkedIn profile

`POST /v1/linkedin/getProfile`

## Request

Transport: call this endpoint with HTTP POST and a JSON request body. Fetch a LinkedIn profile by public profile URL/name, LinkedIn profile ID, or Sales Navigator ID. Returns the LinkedIn profile ID (provider_id, starts ACo or ADo) that connect requests, messages and campaign steps need. Pass identifier plus lead_id to save it on that lead before adding them to a campaign.

## Request body

- object
  - `identifier` string: The person's public profile name (the slug in linkedin.com/in/<name>), LinkedIn profile ID (starts ACo or ADo), or Sales Navigator ID (starts ACw). Required unless self=true.
  - `self` boolean: Set true to fetch YOUR OWN connected account's profile/posts/comments. When omitted or false you MUST provide identifier; the tool will not default to your own profile.
  - `lead_id` string: Saved lead to update. Pass it together with identifier: the looked-up LinkedIn profile ID (and the public profile URL when the lead has none) is saved on this lead, which LinkedIn campaign steps need.
  - `sections` string[]: Additional profile sections to fetch

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid arguments or method execution error.
- `401`: Missing, invalid, expired, revoked, or unauthorized API key.
- `404`: Unknown or non-public Zevari API method.
- `429`: API key rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Unhandled server error.
