# Prove your endpoint without waiting for a caller

`POST /api/router/providers/{id}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.zettoai.com`
- URL: `https://api.zettoai.com/api/router/providers/{id}/test`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Sends a signed dispatch carrying X-Zetto-Test: true and reports exactly what came back - the status, the latency, whether the body parsed as JSON, and what a caller would have experienced. Charges nobody and moves no counter, so a failing test cannot push you closer to suspension. Use it after fixing a deployment; re-registering would work too but rotates your signing secret.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `payload` object: Sent to your endpoint unchanged. Defaults to {}.

## Response `200`

What your endpoint did

- object
  - `ok` boolean
  - `verdict` string: Plain-English statement of what a caller would experience.
  - `http_status` integer
  - `latency_ms` integer
  - `body_preview` string
  - `in_rotation` boolean

## Other responses

- `404`: No such provider on this account
