# Update network member

`POST /api/v2/network/{id}/member/{device-id}`

Update the configuration of a specific device member on a network.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required
- `device-id` string, required

## Request body

- UpdateMemberRequest: All fields are optional. Only provided fields are updated.
  - `name` string: Display name for the device
  - `description` string: Description of the device (may be an empty string)
  - `activeBridge` boolean: Whether this device acts as an active bridge
  - `noAutoAssignIps` boolean: Disable automatic IP address assignment for this device
  - `ipv4Assignments` string[]: Static IPv4 addresses to assign to this device
  - `ipv6Assignments` string[]: Static IPv6 addresses to assign to this device

  - `ipv4Assignments` string[], required: IPv4 addresses assigned to this device on the network
  - `ipv6Assignments` string[], required: IPv6 addresses assigned to this device on the network
  - `ipAssignment6plane` string, ipv6, required: IPv6 address assigned via 6PLANE addressing
  - `ipAssignmentRfc4193` string, ipv6, required: IPv6 address assigned via RFC 4193 addressing
  - `noAutoAssignIps` boolean, required: Whether automatic IP address assignment is disabled for this device
  - `capabilities` string[], required: ZeroTier capability IDs granted to this device
  - `creationTime` string, date-time, required: Time the device was first seen on the network
  - `lastModified` string, date-time, required: Time the member record was last modified
  - `identity` string, required: ZeroTier public identity of the device
  - `lastAuthorizedCredential` string: Credential used for the last authorization
  - `lastAuthorizedTime` string, date-time: Time the device was last authorized
  - `lastDeauthorizedTime` string, date-time: Time the device was last deauthorized
  - `revision` integer, required: Revision counter for the member record
  - `tags` string[], required: ZeroTier tag IDs applied to this device
  - `agentVersion` string, required: ZeroTier client version running on the device
  - `macAddress` string, required: MAC address of the device's virtual network interface
  - `lastSeen` object, required: Map of IP/port to last-seen timestamp
  - `lastSeenIp` string, required: Last known public IP address of the device
  - `lastSeenTime` string, date-time: Time the device was last seen by a controller
  - `os` string, required: Operating system reported by the ZeroTier client
  - `arch` string, required: CPU architecture reported by the ZeroTier client

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid authentication token
- `403`: Insufficient permissions
- `404`: Member not found
- `413`: Request body exceeds the 1 MB size limit
- `500`: Internal server error
