# Delete scanner settings

`POST /api/v2/scannerSettings/delete`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `X-ZeroPath-API-Token-Id` and API key in header `X-ZeroPath-API-Token-Secret`

Delete scanner settings overrides for a scope, reverting it to inherit from its parent scope. For a repository scope, it reverts to org-wide defaults. For a partition scope, it reverts to repo-level settings. Cannot delete org-wide defaults. Organization and repository scopes keep the rules, contexts, custom sources/sinks and pattern sets assigned to them; a tag scope stops existing entirely, so records assigned to it are unassigned.
