# Update User Notes

`POST /api/v2/issues/updateNotes`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://zeropath.com`

- Auth: API key in header `X-ZeroPath-API-Token-Id` and API key in header `X-ZeroPath-API-Token-Secret`

Replace the free-form user notes annotation on a single issue. Notes are org-shared (every member of the organization sees the same value), capped at 5000 characters, and not versioned. Passing an empty string (or whitespace-only) clears the note (stored as null) — empty input is treated identically to "no notes". Returns the post-normalization value.
