# Delete a tracked container image

`POST /api/v2/containerImages/delete`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://zeropath.com`
- URL: `https://zeropath.com/api/v2/containerImages/delete`
- Auth: API key in header `X-ZeroPath-API-Token-Id` and API key in header `X-ZeroPath-API-Token-Secret`

Stop tracking a container image and delete all of its scan history (scans, layers, and findings cascade). Irreversible.

## Request body

- ContainerImageDeleteRequest: Input for deleting a tracked container image. Cascades delete all of its scans, layers, and findings.
  - `organizationId` string: Organization ID (optional).
  - `containerImageId` string, required: ID of the container image to delete.

## Response `200`

Image deleted

- ContainerImageDeleteResponse
  - `ok` boolean, required
