# Create a new referral

`POST /api/v1/referral/create`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://zeropath.com`
- URL: `https://zeropath.com/api/v1/referral/create`
- Auth: API key in header `X-ZeroPath-API-Token-Id` and API key in header `X-ZeroPath-API-Token-Secret`

Submit a referral for a demo. This is an unauthenticated endpoint.

## Request body

- CreateReferralRequest
  - `firstName` string, required: First name of the referred person
  - `lastName` string, required: Last name of the referred person
  - `email` string, email, required: Email address of the referred person
  - `mobilePhone` string, required: Mobile phone number of the referred person
  - `companyName` string, required: Company name of the referred person
  - `notes` string: Optional notes about the referral
  - `referrerFirstName` string, required: First name of the person making the referral
  - `referrerLastName` string, required: Last name of the person making the referral
  - `referrerEmail` string, email, required: Email address of the person making the referral
  - `type` 'DEMO', required: Type of referral

## Response `200`

Referral created successfully

- CreateReferralResponse
  - `success` boolean, required: Whether the referral was created successfully
  - `referralId` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier of the created referral

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `500`: Internal server error
