# Set Agent Lifecycle

`PUT /agents/{agent_id}/lifecycle`

## Request

The first activation also generates Briefs for the latest closed schedule periods (`initial_briefs`, default 1), when the credential may generate Briefs.

## Request body

- SetAgentLifecycleInput
  - `lifecycle` 'active' | 'paused', required
  - `initial_briefs` integer: On a first activation, how many of the latest closed schedule periods get a Brief now, oldest first; 0 for none. At most 14 for daily Agents, 2 for weekly. Validated whenever lifecycle is active; used only on a first activation.

- Agent: Another organization's Agent is returned in a reader form without workspace_id, readiness, configuration, pending and rejected Source counts, or configuration and Chat links.
