# Generate Agent Brief

`POST /agents/{agent_id}/brief-generations`

Generates Briefs for past schedule periods: one exact period, or the N most recent closed periods that lack a Brief. Only a Brief for the latest closed period emails the Agent's subscribers; older periods stay quiet.

## Request body

- union: Either one exact schedule period, or the N most recent closed periods.
  - GenerateBriefPeriodInput
    - `period` object, required: One of the Agent's closed schedule periods from the last 14 days, as {start_at, end_at}. Periods follow the Agent's schedule and close one hour before the scheduled time; a 422 names the latest closed period. A period that already has a current Brief returns that Brief without new work.
      - `start_at` string, date-time, required
      - `end_at` string, date-time, required
  - GenerateBriefPeriodsInput
    - `periods` integer, required: Generate whichever of the N most recent closed schedule periods lack a Brief, one at a time, oldest first. At most 14 days of the schedule: 14 for daily Agents, 2 for weekly. The response carries the first Operation, or null when no period is missing.
