# Headlines

`GET /api/news/headlines`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.zerogex.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.zerogex.io/api/news/headlines`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Return the CNBC headlines the automated X post is built from.

Best-effort: an empty ``headlines`` list means news is disabled
(``BULLETIN_TWEET_NEWS_ENABLED=0``) or every upstream feed failed — the
website renders a clean empty state rather than an error.

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer, nullable: Maximum number of headlines to return. Defaults to the bulletin tweet's configured cap ($BULLETIN_TWEET_NEWS_MAX_ITEMS, 6).
