# Get Gex Expirations

`GET /api/gex/expirations`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.zerogex.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Distinct option expirations seen in ``gex_by_strike`` within the
trailing ``lookback_hours``.  Powers the Strike-Profile chart's
expiry dropdown so today's expiration stays available even after
market close (when the latest ``/api/gex/by-strike`` snapshot has
dropped it — the analytics engine stops writing rows for expired
contracts).  Default 24h covers a post-close shift; cap at 168h
(1 week) bounds the scan.
