# List agent settings

`GET /v1/accounts/{accountId}/business-agent/settings`

Settings of every agent configured on the number (normally one). Pass `agentId` to read one.

      - `enabled` boolean, required — Whether the agent answers live conversations.
    - `handoff` object, nullable
      - `enabled` boolean — Whether the agent releases the thread after sending its handoff message.

      - `message_selection` 'DEFAULT' | 'AGENT' | 'CUSTOM'
    - `followup` object, nullable
      - `enabled` boolean
      - `followup_interval_in_seconds` 0 | 300 | 900 | 1800 | 3600 | 7200 | 28800 | 86400
      - `message` string
    - `ai_audience` 'EVERYONE' | 'ALLOWLISTED_ONLY' | 'null', nullable — EVERYONE answers all consumers; ALLOWLISTED_ONLY answers only the allowlist and needs no payment method.
    - `never_say_phrases` string[] — Exact phrases the agent must never say.

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Inbox add-on required, the WhatsApp token lacks the Business Agent permissions (code reconnect_required), or the merchant has not accepted the Meta Business Agent terms in WhatsApp Manager (code business_agent_terms_not_accepted).
- `404` — Account not found, or no agent exists on the number yet or the referenced item does not exist (code business_agent_not_found).
