# Rotate a SIP trunk's password

`POST /v1/phone-numbers/sip-trunks/{id}/rotate-credentials`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://zernio.com/api`
- URL: `https://zernio.com/api/v1/phone-numbers/sip-trunks/{id}/rotate-credentials`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Mints a new digest password on the trunk. The old password stops
working immediately, so update the destination platform right away.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

New credentials. The password is shown only here.

  - `termination` object
    - `uri` string: Telnyx termination host the platform dials for outbound (sip.telnyx.com).
    - `username` string: SIP digest username.
  - `digestPassword` string

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key. `code` is `missing_credentials` when no Authorization header was sent and `invalid_credentials` when the key is unknown, revoked or expired.
- `404`: SIP trunk not found
