# Add number to SMS registration

`POST /v1/phone-numbers/{id}/sms/reuse-registration`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://zernio.com/api`
- URL: `https://zernio.com/api/v1/phone-numbers/{id}/sms/reuse-registration`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Attaches this number to your existing approved 10DLC campaign instead
of running a fresh registration: the number inherits the campaign's
approval (no new brand or campaign, no extra carrier fee). Enable SMS
on the number first (`POST /v1/phone-numbers/{id}/sms`; its response
tells you whether a reusable registration exists).

## Response `200`

Number added to the existing registration.

  - `status` 'pending' | 'approved' | 'rejected' | 'requested' | 'changes_requested' | 'deactivated': requested/changes_requested = pre-submission review states; customers see them as pending / needs changes.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key. `code` is `missing_credentials` when no Authorization header was sent and `invalid_credentials` when the key is unknown, revoked or expired.
- `403`: The API key is scoped to profiles that do not include this number.
- `404`: Number not found
- `409`: No existing SMS registration to reuse for this number
