# Submit feedback

`POST /v1/feedback`

Report a bug, a missing feature or a documentation gap. Every submission
is read by the Zernio team. Designed for AI agents: when a call fails in
a way that looks like our bug, or the API lacks something you need, send
one structured report here.

Include `endpoint` and `requestId` (the `x-request-id` response header of
the failing call) when you have them; they let us find the exact request.

Submitting the same `summary` again within 24 hours is idempotent: it
returns the original `id` with `duplicate: true` and a `200`. Each API
user can file at most 20 submissions per 24 hours.

## Request body

- object
  - `type` 'bug' | 'missing_feature' | 'docs' | 'other', required — What kind of feedback this is.
  - `summary` string, required — One line describing the problem or the missing capability. Also the dedup key.
  - `details` string — Longer explanation: what you were trying to do, steps to reproduce, the use case.
  - `endpoint` string — The endpoint involved, e.g. `POST /v1/posts`.
  - `requestId` string — The `x-request-id` header of the failing response, if any.
  - `expected` string — What you expected to happen.
  - `actual` string — What actually happened, e.g. the error message.
  - `agent` object — Optional identification of the agent submitting the feedback.
    - `name` string — Agent or tool name, e.g. `claude-code`.
    - `model` string — Model powering the agent.

## Response `200`

Duplicate of a submission made in the last 24 hours. Returns the original id.

- FeedbackReceipt
  - `id` string — Feedback id. Quote it if you follow up with support.
  - `status` 'received'
  - `duplicate` boolean — True when this matched a submission with the same summary from the last 24 hours.

## Other responses

- `201` — Feedback received
- `400` — Invalid request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `429` — More than 20 submissions in the last 24 hours.
