# Delete a caller identity

`DELETE /v1/branded-calling/identities/{id}`

Detaches its numbers and removes the identity at the carrier, which ends the monthly fee. Refused while an infringement claim is open.

Deleted.

- `409` — An infringement claim is open on this identity (code invalid_resource_state).
