# Remove users from audience

`DELETE /v1/ads/audiences/{audienceId}/users`

## Request

Removes customer emails and phone numbers from a Meta customer list audience. Same body as
`POST /v1/ads/audiences/{audienceId}/users`: send plaintext rows, they are normalized and
SHA256-hashed server-side exactly like an upload, so a row removes the person it added.

Meta only, customer_list only. Every other platform returns 422 with code `feature_not_available`,
and every other audience type returns 422. Max 10,000 users per request. Meta applies the removal
asynchronously, so the audience size does not drop immediately.

  - `numReceived` integer: Rows Meta received.
  - `numInvalid` integer: Rows Meta could not read.
  - `invalidEntrySamples` object: A sample of the rows Meta could not read, passed through as Meta returns it. Empty when every row was valid.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key. `code` is `missing_credentials` when no Authorization header was sent and `invalid_credentials` when the key is unknown, revoked or expired.
- `403`: Ads access required. Legacy plans need the Ads add-on; included by default on usage-based plans. Also returned with code `ad_account_not_selected` when the connection has selected ad accounts and the ad account this request targets is not among them; `details` carries `accountId`, `adAccountId` and `selectedAdAccountIds`. Add the ad account to the selection (GET /v1/connect/{platform}/ads with adAccountIds, which replaces the selection) or use a connection that has it selected.
- `404`: Resource not found
- `422`: The audience is not a customer_list, is not on Meta (code `feature_not_available`), or has no platform ID yet.
